It has been reported by Baz Bamigboye on his twitter account (and in this Daily Mail article that Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have been hired to write once more a Bond film.
Bamigboye, Daily Mail columnist, is usually very reliable when it comes to Bond movies’ news.
He also adds that Daniel Craig has still not cleared his mind on wheter he will continue his tenure as Bond or not. In the same article, Bamigboye highlights that Daniel Craig, 49, seems to be more inclined to continue, at least one more time, as the most famous british spy.
Purvis and Wade inked six Bond movies, often with other authors, and are a well oiled couple when it comes to know how to write a Bond movie. There have been several rumors in the past of disagreements between the two and Bond production in the past, maybe the most famous one when John Logan was reportedly called to adjust the Skyfall script. But they were brought back in for the next installment, SPECTRE, when the screenplay wrote by Logan seemed in need to be fixed.
So here we are, first fresh news about Bond 25, and first hints of a possible late 2018 release, with a late 2017 start for the filming.
We will see what will go on.
Almost a year has passed since Mi6 first reported that Croatia was being considered as a possible filming location for Bond 25. Since then, little news on the development of Bond 25 has been made publicly available. Behind closed doors, however, it seems that things are moving along.
Speaking at a press conference about the filming of ‘Robin Hood: Origins’ in the city, the Mayor of Dubrovnik Andro Vlahušić told Portal Oko that “James Bond is in an advanced stage of negotiations.”
This is not the first time James Bond has visited Croatia. In 2015, Heineken used the Croatian town of Rovinj as the setting for their ‘SPECTRE’ promotional tie-in commercial ‘The Chase’. Daniel Craig, however, was not present in the city, with his scenes being filmed on green screen.
Something is finally happening.
As our friend at The Bond Bulletin are reporting, the Bond 25 production has bought an Helicopter Bell UH 1D from the Avation Museum in Wernigerode, in Germany.
It seems it will be used to film the new Bond movie.
Someone in the museum has also confirmed the helicopter should be flown to Heatrow today.
Also, the companies house seems to confirm that the production is going to release a statement in May.
So, after more than a year of no news, maybe we are going to have something soon.
Exciting times ahead.
We will keep you posted.
Only two days into 2016 and already the Bond 25 rumour mill is churning. ‘The Mirror‘ reports that Christoph Waltz has signed on for two more Bond films, but will only return as Bond’s arch nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld if Daniel Craig reprises the role of James Bond.
According to reports Bond bosses will only get Christoph if Daniel signs up for a fifth outing as the superspy.
“Christoph could make a brilliant ongoing man for Bond to battle like in the old days,” a source told the Daily Star.
“But the important clincher of it is that Blofeld can only work with Daniel back in the role to keep continuity.”
[…] Producer Michael G Wilson seemed to confirm they expect to have Craig for a fifth time, saying: “We think we’ve got him but we don’t have a contract.”
A Bond source said: “Daniel has been a huge success as 007 and is loved by fans so he isn’t going anywhere yet.
“The directors know they would be daft to replace him at a stage where he is so popular. It’s almost certain he will do one more outing as Bond.
According to The Mirror, insiders report that the “execs loved U.N.C.L.E., starring Henry Cavill and based on the TV series created by Bond writer Ian Fleming.” With a source adding that:
“Guy has had a run of box office successes but it was The Man From U.N.C.L.E that really caught the Bond producers’ eye. The film had many of the elements associated with 007. Guy created a world of espionage and action with a bit of comedy. He’s the frontrunner for the next Bond movie – for now.”
Sam Mendes who directed ‘Skyfall’ and ‘SPECTRE’ is on record as saying:
I said no to the last one and ended up doing it. I was pilloried by all my friends. I don’t think I could go down that road again. You have to put everything else on hold. Every idea I had for a Bond film, I’ve stuck in this one. The Bond bank is dry.”
Who would you like to see direct Bond25?
